The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by staying informed of changes and maintaining policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
- Promote uniformity in hiring practices through collaboration with hiring managers, offering training on compliant and effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, testing, reference and background checks, and candidate selection to fulfill staffing needs.
- Partner with management in decision-making processes related to hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance reviews, as well as addressing safety and workplace conduct matters.
- Design and deliver employee onboarding programs to foster a collaborative environment aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain records of employee benefits participation, personnel actions, and government reporting statistics.
- Advise management on resolving employee relations concerns and policy interpretation.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and programs, providing clear and actionable information.
- Communicate and manage enrollment for benefit programs, ensuring employees understand available options and changes.
- Investigate workplace incidents, prepare reports for insurance claims, and ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with legal counsel on employment matters and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with managers and healthcare professionals to develop accommodations and return-to-work plans for employees with disabilities.
- Conduct market wage analyses to maintain competitive compensation practices.
- Oversee the exit process, including documentation and interviews, to understand turnover trends and improve retention.
- Administer and maintain employee files and records in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
- Design and implement training programs, employee evaluations, and incentive plans.
- Adapt company policies to align with local market needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources or management
- 3-10 years' of professional HR experience, ideally from a services oriented business, with a combination of corporate and business unit line experience preferred
